Job summary

Empire Southwest is seeking an experienced heavy equipment technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition, and service a fleet of medium and heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose electrical, powertrain, hydraulic, and other systems, and document service reports.

Cummins PX9/ISX15 experience preferred; Duramax recommended. Strong safety focus, own tools, and ability to read schematics and use OEM diagnostic tooling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to communicate in English (read, write, speak).
• Experience with diagnostic tools and OEM equipment preferred.
• Must own and maintain required personal tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Repair, recondition, and maintain equipment and components.
• Prepare service reports and document work performed.
• Plan and control cost of repair jobs.
• Travel to remote locations as needed.
