Job summary

Daimler Truck North America in Byesville, OH is hiring for an engine disassembly associate. You will dismantle HDEP heavy duty diesel engines to a bare block following remanufacturing processes.

You will operate torque wrenches and powered hand tools, identify parts, and adhere to safety and quality standards while supporting continuous improvement and teamwork. Relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools.
• Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds (with assistance from a team member or hoist).
• Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures.
• Cross train on other jobs as required.
• Ability to operate riveting, torqueing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
• Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation.
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.
• Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble HDEP heavy duty diesel engines to a bare engine block.
• Follow established remanufacturing processes and safety guidelines.
• Operate torque wrenches, air tools, presses, gauges, hoist, hand tools, and computers.
• Identify parts using component numbers and BOMs.
• Adhere to rotation plan and complete training matrices.
• Access company data via computer systems for assembly processes and drawings.
