Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Technician

Company: PACCAR

PACCAR Financial is seeking a Diesel Truck Technician to join our Used Truck Center in Fontana, CA. In this position, you will perform a variety of skilled tasks including proper maintenance, repair, overhaul, and adjustment of diesel or gasoline-powered trucks or tractors.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

• Work during core business hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Perform diagnostic inspections on truck-tractor systems using mechanical diagnostics and system software diagnostics.
• Conduct preventative maintenance inspections of truck-tractor components following PACCAR checklists.
• Perform repairs on truck-tractor components, including oil changes, light bulb replacements, and wheel and tire services.
• Complete paperwork reflecting hours, parts, and lubricants used in each job.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Make road calls for remote component failures.
• Work effectively in a team, multitask, and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Provide excellent customer service to PACCAR clients.

Qualifications and Skills

• Knowledge of shop safety procedures and safety-conscious behavior.
• Ability to complete jobs without requiring repeat repairs.
• Available for full-time work, with flexibility for additional hours as needed.
• CDL certification highly preferred.

Education

Leveling for this position will be based on experience.
