Job summary

Truck Centers, Inc. is seeking Service Technicians and Certified Diesel Mechanics to join our growing team.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be vital to our Service department, performing repairs across engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electronics, and ensuring work is documented for warranty and customer communication. You’ll read repair orders, collect diagnostics, plan procedures, and road-test vehicles to confirm fixes.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license; able to meet insurance requirements.
• CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred.
• Diesel tech training certificate or 4+ years of heavy-truck shop experience.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to quality work.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Candidates must provide their own tools; TC provides specialty tooling for on-site use.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality work according to OEM, warranty, and dealership standards.
• Read repair orders, observe vehicle operation, obtain diagnostics information, identify root causes, plan repairs and perform them.
• Repair all truck systems including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electronics, and more.
• Document diagnostic findings, repair status, and work performed using Service Notes for customers and warranty.
• Communicate with Parts, Shop Foreman, and Service Administration for status updates and parts requirements.
• Perform quality checks of all work.
• Road test vehicles to ensure repairs resolved customer complaints.
