Job summary

Pembroke & Co., Inc. in Maine is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Service Technician to diagnose and repair diesel and Class A vehicles, focusing on engines, hydraulics, and transmissions.

The role involves maintenance, inspections, and diagnostics with a Monday–Friday schedule during normal business hours, and possible Saturday work depending on business needs. A Commercial Inspection license is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2+ years' experience with heavy-duty vehicles is required.
• Commercial Inspection license is preferred but not mandatory.
• Maintain excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, inspect, service, and perform maintenance on heavy-duty trucks.
• Perform preventative maintenance and assess road-worthiness and safety issues.
• Work with diesel engines.
• Troubleshoot issues related to turbos, injectors, and radiators.
• Research and order parts with appropriate approvals.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Report damages or faulty equipment to management.
• Additional tasks as needed.
