Job summary

Briggs Truck & Rail in Houston, TX seeks an experienced On-Highway Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty truck components. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and component work while following safety and DOT/OSHA guidelines.

The role requires 3+ years of relevant repair experience, strong diesel aptitude, and the ability to travel to customer sites. Valid driver's license and own tools are a plus; on-call work is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade school certs preferred.
• Strong diesel mechanical aptitude with diagnostics ability.
• Experience with major truck components and systems; welding/fabrication preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild heavy-duty truck components and systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and part removal with safe practices.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure equipment safety and compliance.
• Take ownership of jobs, manage parts, and complete required training.
