The technician role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and related failures on trucks or equipment, and performing disassembly, repair, and reassembly of engines, transmissions, clutches, brakes, and electrical systems.

Workers must use diagnostic tools and dealer software, read service bulletins, and maintain accurate work descriptions.

Qualifications

• Must possess and use good interpersonal skills to interact well with customers, vendors, and co-workers.
• Must be able to read and write in English and understand reports.
• Must be able to operate various computer diagnostic devices, laptops, and tablets.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and related failures on trucks or equipment.
• Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines, transmissions, and components.
• Use precision tools and diagnostic machines to complete work.
• Read and follow service bulletins and publications to guide repairs.
• Document work performed clearly in the dealer management system.
