Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. is hiring a Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician for our Safety Lane Inspection operation in Florida. The role focuses on Preventative Maintenance, safety checks, and basic repairs on heavy- and light-duty trucks including CNG, LPG, and hybrid fleets.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist drivers with Pre/Post trip inspections
• Identify visible repairs on vehicles (lights, leaks, body damage)
• Perform lubrication and basic maintenance on heavy- and light-duty trucks
• Learn/use brake inspection procedures and document work
• Assist/perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, electrical systems
• Familiarity with lubrication charts for waste trucks

Responsibilities

• Aid drivers in daily Post-trip and safety inspection process
• Conduct safety checks during Safety Lane and PMs
• Complete lubrication and repair of lubrication points
• Learn brake inspection procedures and document results daily
• Perform basic repairs on heavy-duty equipment and service trucks
• Communicate with technicians/drivers about issues and preventative measures
• Complete paperwork and time tracking on repair orders
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in accordance with OSHA standards
• Follow factory service manuals for repairs
