Job description

Job Title: Diesel Technician

The primary function of the Diesel Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks. The individual will perform tasks on heavy-duty trucks, large construction vehicles, and buses, including inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, installation, and repair of components, engines, and systems related to these vehicles.

Essential Functions:

1. Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and machine tools.
2. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear; repair engine/driveline/ABS related issues using mechanical knowledge and computer-based diagnostic programs.
3. Perform routine maintenance checks, including inspecting brake systems, wheel bearings, electrical systems, and air systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Previous experience as a technician.
2. Knowledge of diesel and gas engines.
3. Knowledge of repair procedures.
