What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
- Use advanced diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine and system issues.
- Accurately document findings and repairs using company-provided laptops and software.
- Work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented shop environment.
- Engage in ongoing training and development to stay up to date with the latest repair techniques and technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with medium- or heavy-duty trucks.
- Basic computer skills, including diagnostic software.
- Proficiency with power and hand tools.
- Strong attention to detail and a clean, organized workspace.
- Excellent communication skills for documenting and relaying repair findings.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, especially with Class 8 vehicles.
- Certifications for Detroit or Cummins engines (priority hiring for certified candidates).
- CDL license (preferred but not required).
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Experience with engine overhauls is a plus.
