Job summary

Safe Site LLC is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose, maintain, and repair Hydrovac trucks, semi-trucks, and fleet vehicles in a fast-paced environment. Strong mechanical expertise and a commitment to safety are essential, with Hydrovac experience preferred and semi-truck experience required.

You will interpret work orders, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and ensure compliance with DOT/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

  • Must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy-duty construction equipment, Hydrovac/Vacuum trucks, or fleet repair (preferred).
  • Must maintain an approved MVR; Class A or B CDL preferred but not required.
  • Must provide personal hand tools required to perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret work orders, service manuals, and technical diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system failures.
  • Ensure full compliance with DOT, MSA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Document all work performed using established procedures and maintenance systems.
  • Communicate additional repair needs to the Fleet Manager.
  • Train, mentor, and assist other technicians as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Description

Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of Hydrovac trucks, semi-trucks, and half-ton trucks in accordance with manufacturer specifications. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Hydrovac experience preferred; semi-truck experience required.

Duties & Responsibilities

Work Environment
  • Must be able to work in indoor/outdoor environments, including extreme weather.
  • Exposure to loud noise, heavy equipment, and industrial conditions.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to repeatedly sit, lift, stoop, bend, squat, kneel, reach, and crawl.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs multiple times throughout the workday.
Compensation:
  • Pay Type: Hourly
  • Pay Range: $35.00 – $45.00/hour DOE
