A construction services company in Idaho is seeking a Hydrovac Technician for a full-time role. The technician will assist operators in various manual tasks, including setting up and operating hydrovac equipment and maintaining a safe job site. Qualifications

• Must pass a criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and safety performance verification.
• Must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations for the past five years.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work 10-12+ hour days including some weekends.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines.
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards.
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks.
• Comply with all DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
• Perform site clean up.

Description

The Hydrovac Technician assists operators and other crew members with a variety of manual labor-related tasks including the set up and pull down of rigs and equipment, setting up and operating hydrovac equipment, digging & excavating, pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintaining an orderly and safe job site.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time, available to work overtime and weekends as needed

Travel:

Must be willing to travel for short periods of time as needed

Work Environment

• Must be able to work in all weather conditions and noisy environments

Physical Demands:

• Be able to work extended hours and variable shifts
• Be able to wear all required PPE
• Be able to climb ladders and work from stationary platforms from elevated heights
• Confined Space Entry may be required to accomplish tasks for some clients
• Must be able to repeatedly lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for construction equipment and machines
• Assist with proper disposal of debris and waste materials
• Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform manual labor tasks
• Load and unload construction materials
• Comply with all DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations
• Put together and take apart temporary structures
• Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary
• Perform site clean up

Requirements

• Underground utility and/or construction experience

• Previous hydrovac, trucking, vacuum truck or other related industrial experience is a plus
