Job summary

Truck Country / Stoops Freightliner-Western Star is seeking a skilled technician to repair and maintain customer equipment. You will diagnose engine, driveline, and ABS issues using mechanical knowledge and computer-based diagnostic tools.

The role requires hands-on maintenance checks of brake systems, wheel bearings, electrical and air systems. A strong background as a technician and knowledge of diesel and gas engines is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a technician.
• Ability to display knowledge of diesel and gas engines.
• Ability to display knowledge of repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear; repair engine/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer-based diagnostic programs
• Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air system
