Job summary

TCI Transportation is seeking an Experienced Diesel & Reefer Technician to diagnose and repair trucks, trailers, and refrigerated equipment with a focus on diesel engines and refrigeration systems.

The position offers a Monday through Friday shift 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM, with pay between $38.53 and $43.00 per hour, plus a benefits package and opportunities for leadership in repair tasks.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of Diesel Engine Repair experience.
• Reefer Trailer / Transport Refrigeration repair experience required.
• EPA 608/609 Certification required.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Self-motivated with strong leadership skills.
• Ability to diagnose and complete advanced repairs with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines and major components in trucks and trailers.
• Repair reefer trailer systems and transport refrigeration equipment.
• Repair refrigeration and A/C systems on trailers.
• Repair clutches, PTO systems, and hydraulic/air brake systems.
• Repair electrical systems across vehicles and equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and hydraulic systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine servicing to maintain uptime.
• Complete repairs within established time standards with quality.
• Collaborate with lead tech to ensure safety and compliance.

$38.53 - $43.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience

Monday through Friday | 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM

Position Overview

The Technician will generally assist in the repair and diagnosis of major components or remove/replace major components of various truck, trailer, and refrigerated trailer equipment at the direction of the Lead Technician or Maintenance Supervisor.

Expectations include the ability to diagnose and repair the following with little or no supervision:

• Diesel engines and major components
• Reefer Trailer / Transport Refrigeration Systems
• Refrigeration and A/C systems
• Clutches
• PTO Systems
• Electrical Systems
• Hydraulic/Air Brake Systems
• Heating/Air Conditioning Systems
• Instruments and Gauges
• Preventive Maintenance Services

Technicians are measured on their efficiency and ability to complete quality repairs within established time standards.
