Job summary

GFL Environmental, Inc is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment at our Minnesota facility. The role includes 2nd or 3rd shift work (2pm-10:30pm or 10pm-6:30am) and strong emphasis on safety and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience using diagnostic software is a plus.
• Must be computer literate and willing to learn new software systems.
• Must pass safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate, repair, and maintain heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment on Company property.
• Diagnose and repair operational difficulties; plan and schedule repairs.
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas, and electric equipment.
• Submit reports, work orders, and procure parts as required daily.
• Ensure safety compliance and use of tools and manuals.
