Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Minnesota is seeking a diesel mechanic to safely operate, repair, rebuild and maintain heavy duty trucks and equipment. This role focuses on environmental services and will not involve garbage trucks.

You will diagnose issues, plan repairs, and coordinate parts, while ensuring safety compliance and proper documentation. A GED or technical diploma is preferred, with at least one year of diesel experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; technical diploma is a plus.
• Minimum of one year experience as a diesel mechanic.
• Experience with diagnostic software is a plus.
• Must be computer literate and willing to learn new software.
• Must meet safety-sensitive requirements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy duty diesel trucks and equipment.
• Maintain and repair heavy diesel, CNG, gas and electric equipment.
• Complete reports, work orders, and procure parts.
• Plan repairs in planner and source parts.
• Coordinate repair schedule and safety compliance.
• Train new employees and share knowledge.
• Maintain clean work area and follow company policies.
• Utilize a range of power and hand tools.
