Become a Diesel Technician at Truck Centers, Inc. – Where Innovation Meets Expertise!

Truck Centers, Inc. is growing, and we’re on the lookout for talented Service Technicians and Certified Diesel Mechanics at all experience levels to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll be an essential part of our Service department, working in state-of-the-art shops equipped with top-of-the-line specialty tools, all while helping our customers get back on the road quickly and safely.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide high-quality repairs that adhere to OEM, warranty, and dealership standards.
• Use your skills to read repair orders, listen to vehicle operations, and conduct thorough diagnostics to pinpoint issues.
• Tackle a variety of repairs on truck systems, including engines, transmissions, suspensions, brakes, HVAC, electronics, and more.
• Keep meticulous records of your diagnostics, repair steps, and completed work using Service Notes, ensuring seamless communication with customers and efficient warranty processing.
• Work closely with the Parts department to get the right parts, and keep the Shop Foreman and Service Administration team in the loop with status updates and requests.
• Perform rigorous quality checks on all work completed to ensure top performance.
• Road test vehicles to confirm that all repairs have resolved the customer’s concerns and that they’re ready for the road.

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver's License with ability to meet insurance requirements is required
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred
• Certificate from a diesel tech training school or a minimum of 4 years mechanical medium- or heavy-duty truck service experience in a shop setting or military installation
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to providing quality work
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
• Candidates must have their own tools; TCI provides specialty and OEM-required tooling for on-site, communal use
• Must participate in a pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
