Job summary

The incumbent at Hard Rock Casino Rockford is responsible for maintaining public and team member areas in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition using specialized power equipment and deep cleaning practices. This role supports guest service excellence and complies with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities include operating floor scrubbers and other EVS equipment, inspecting restrooms, disposing of waste, and securing equipment at shift end.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must obtain and maintain licenses/certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age and able to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintain public and team member areas in a clean, sanitary, attractive condition using specialized power equipment and deep cleaning practices.
• Review schedule at start of shift and ensure required equipment and supplies are ready for operations.
• Operate floor scrubbers, extractors, scissor lifts and other powered EVS equipment.
• Obtain training and certifications for specialized equipment to ensure safety and quality.
• Wipe down all machinery on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Inspect and clean all restrooms.
• Pick up and dispose of paper and other rubbish left by patrons throughout the pavilion.
• Secure all equipment at end of shift and complete required paperwork.
• Adhere to Illinois Gaming Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

POSITION SUMMARY

The incumbent in this position is responsible for maintaining public and team member areas in a clean, sanitary, and attractive condition using specialized power equipment and deep cleaning practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)

• Creates an atmosphere that induces guests to make Hard Rock Casino Rockford their choice for gaming entertainment; responsible for actively building and retaining guest relations and acts as a mentor to team members to provide superior guest service.
• Promptly at start of shift, review schedule, check equipment and supplies required to perform the work, scheduled, and prepared for operations.
• Ability to operate floor scrubbers, extractors, scissor lifts and other powered EVS equipment.
• Obtain training and certifications for specialized equipment to ensure safety and quality.
• Wipe down all machinery on shift-by-shift basis.
• Inspect and clean all restrooms.
• Pick up and dispose of paper and other rubbish left by patrons throughout the pavilion.
• Upon ending your shift, secure all equipment and machinery, and complete all required paperwork.
• Performs all other duties assigned and adheres to all Illinois Gaming Regulations and Departmental Standard Operating Procedures.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Attend seminars when needed.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.)

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Commission.
• Must successfully pass background check.
• Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.

KNOWLEDGE OF

• Safe use of hazardous materials.
• Heavy duty and deep cleaning EVS equipment operations.
• Basic hand and power tools and testing equipment.
• Excellent guest service skills and communication skills.
• Janitorial duties using specialized EVS power equipment and deep cleaning practices.

ABILITY TO

• Be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of employees and guests.
• Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
• Routine handling of potentially hazardous cleaning chemicals and waste requires strict adherence to supervisor's safety instructions and compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
• Routine use of powered cleaning equipment.
