Job summary

Avi Resort and Casino in Laughlin, NV is seeking a Room Attendant to perform deep cleaning of a set number of guest rooms daily or on assigned projects.

Duties include removing trash, stripping beds, flipping mattresses, vacuuming, cleaning walls and vents, wiping case goods, cleaning windows, and delivering outstanding guest service to customers and fellow team members.

This position requires English proficiency and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a hotel environment.

Summary:

Responsible for the deep cleaning of a determined amount of guest rooms on a daily basis or assigned project.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• De-trash room.
• Strip beds.
• Flip mattresses and vacuum underneath.
• Pull furniture away from walls.
• Vacuum edges.
• Wipe down all walls, wallpaper and air conditioning vent.
• Wipe down case goods.
• Clean guest room window and mirrors.
• Remove burn marks from counter top in bathroom.
• Remove small burns from carpeting.
• Extract carpeting and drapes.
• Deep clean bathroom floor.
• Shampoo chairs and clean wood.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic overall knowledge of all shampoo equipment, floor care products, and other equipment as needed.
• The primary language spoken is English; ability to read, write, understand and speak English.
• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.
• Verify right to work in the United States.

• Use hands to hold tools utilized for position.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment Conditions

The work environment is characterized as a hotel setting requiring multi-tasking, where standard equipment will be supplied and used as part of the job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. The immediate work environment is smoke free; however a smoking environment does exist in the building.
