Job Description

Local company seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic with knowledge of tire maintenance and replacement.

Job Site: Metter, GA

Pay rate: $18-$25 per hour depending on experience

Requirements:

• Experience in diagnosing and repairing heavy diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems
• Skills and experience to inspect, remove, replace, and repair tires on heavy equipment and commercial vehicles
• Ability to perform tire balancing, rotations, and alignments as needed
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
• Conduct regular maintenance to prevent unexpected breakdowns
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot engine and mechanical issues
• Work independently or as part of a team to meet operational deadlines
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
• Ability to lift heavy equipment and tires as needed
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• ASE Certification is a plus but not required
