Based out of Lake City, FL, QEP is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician/Diesel Mechanic to join our Service Team. The technician will travel to customers' locations to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment. Applicants must have experience with heavy equipment repair to determine parts and tools necessary for repairs.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical diagnostics and carry out repairs.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with diesel engines.
• Follow established safety procedures during work.
• Accurately record all time and materials used in company systems.
• Advise customers on equipment issues and solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
• Perform other maintenance-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of experience with heavy equipment.
• Own your own tools and be fully self-sufficient on the job site.
• Excellent mechanical skills, including understanding of engines, power trains, hydraulics, and reading electrical schematics. Training on manufacturer-specific procedures will be provided.
• Welding experience is required.
• ASE certification is a plus.
• Class A CDL is a plus.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
