We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of truck and trailer systems and components, demonstrating expertise in maintenance and repair. This role is essential for ensuring the safety and efficiency of our fleet, requiring a hands-on approach to diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues.

Duties

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on truck and trailers, including engine diagnostics , brake repair, tire service, tarp systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems.
• Conduct diagnostics to identify mechanical problems and implement effective solutions.
• Fabricate and weld components as necessary to ensure trailers meet safety standards.
• Maintain a clean work area to streamline repairs and safety .
• Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services performed, and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and safety regulations.

Skills

• Proficient in brake repair techniques and tire service procedures.
• extensive knowledge with hydraulic systems and components.
• Strong ability to maintain, fabricate, and weld trailer components.
• Knowledgeable in automotive diagnostics for troubleshooting mechanical issues.
• Experience operating forklifts and other industrial equipment safely.
• Familiarity with Air systems related to trailer functionality and tire pressure systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
