Ready to make your mark on the community and help shape the infrastructure around Lowell, MA and other areas? S&R Corporation is hiring a full-time Heavy Civil/Roadway Project Manager to coordinate and lead impressive bridge and highway construction projects.

Our Ideal Experienced Heavy Civil/Roadway Project Manager:
  • Civil engineering or construction management degree
  • Experience using estimating software (B2W), accounting software (Spectrum), or project management software (ProjectSight or Procore), and scheduling software (Primavera P6)
  • AutoCAD experience

WHAT TO EXPECT AS OUR EXPERIENCED HEAVY CIVIL/ROADWAY PROJECT MANAGER

You'll be the driving force behind our bridge and highway construction projects, making sure field crews complete high-quality work while meeting deadlines and staying within budget. For every project, you'll establish timelines, create schedules, and ensure office teams and field construction personnel work together. You'll figure out the best way to get the job done and assign responsibilities accordingly.

You'll handle vital project management duties, from completing construction take-offs and negotiating subcontracts to leading project meetings and performing quality control checks. Using production data and material costs, you'll create cost estimates and negotiate change orders. You'll submit shop drawings, lead team members, and do what you can to make every project successful!

Essential Functions
  1. Responsible for the management of multiple projects (1-4) simultaneously
  2. Responsible for project administration, data entry, scope of work development, cost change order estimates, proposals, subcontractor buyout and coordination, scheduling creation, and updates.
  3. Responsible for CPM scheduling, project cost control, and Risk Management.
  4. Coordinates with Project Architects, Engineers, Owners, Subcontractors, and Superintendents.
  5. Management of project execution in accordance with contract requirements and project management procedures.
  6. Coordinate subcontractor buyout to include arranging and attending site visits with subcontractors, tracking subcontractor proposals, and entering required data in project management software.
  7. Responsible for the setup and maintenance of projects in the project management system, but not limited to drawings, submittals, budget, directory, Prime Contracts, commitments, and meeting minutes.
  8. Review subcontractor proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements, scope, and budget.
  9. Negotiate with subcontractors and prepare detailed subcontractor agreements.
  10. Responsible for project accounting including invoice review, development and updating cost to data reports, billing projections and client billings.
  11. Coordinate project close-out, to include punchlist management, obtaining required documentation, assisting pre-final inspections and As-Built drawings.
  12. Ensure compliance with Company safety guidelines and all local requirements (OSHA).
  13. Participation in all superintendent meetings and calls as needed.
