Job summary

Metric Geo in Northern Virginia seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil bridge rehabilitation, structural repair, and related projects. The role is hands-on, from award to closeout, with regular DOT/public agency interface.

You’ll mentor Project Engineers, coordinate with Superintendents, and drive safety, schedule, and quality. A strong track record in heavy civil construction is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Project Management experience.
• Heavy civil, bridge, structural, roadway construction experience.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and DOT/public agencies.

I’m working with a growing heavy civil contractor that is looking to add an experienced Project Manager to their team in Northern Virginia.

This is a hands‑on PM role focused on bridge rehabilitation, structural repair, bridge replacement, and post‑tensioning projects.

What you’ll be doing:

• Manage projects from award through closeout
• Act as the primary point of contact for DOT and public agency clients
• Work closely with Superintendents and Project Engineers
• Mentor and guide Project Engineers

What they’re looking for:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience
• Heavy civil, bridge, structural, roadway, or related construction experience
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients and DOT/public agencies
• Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
• DOT/federal‑aid experience is a plus
