Heavy Civil Project Manager

Location: Lafayatte, LA

Salary: $70,000 - $110,000 (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale civil and heavy construction projects from planning through closeout. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in heavy civil work, strong project management skills, and experience coordinating multi-discipline teams to meet schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end execution of heavy civil projects, including earthwork, utilities, paving, concrete, and site development.
• Build and manage project budgets, monitor costs, review change orders, and ensure profitability.
• Create detailed project master schedules, manage resource allocation, and track progress against key milestones.
• Solicit bids, negotiate contracts, and oversee field performance and quality standards.
• Enforce jobsite safety standards (OSHA compliance) and maintain quality control protocols across all operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, engineers, inspectors, and municipal agencies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management experience in heavy civil construction, highway/bridge, site preparation, or utility infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (or equivalent field experience).
• Proficiency with construction management and scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, Procore, HCSS HeavyBid/HeavyJob).
• OSHA 30-hour certification preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) or PMP is a plus.
