Job summary

Sargent is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead complex construction sites from planning to closeout. You will review contracts, plans, specs, QC requirements, geotechnical reports, and estimates, while coordinating with superintendents and the Project Executive to ensure project success.

You will manage submittals, RFIs, change orders, budgets, SWPPP, daily reports, and client communications; ensure safety, scheduling, and final closeout with travel to sites as needed.

• In-depth earthwork knowledge and scheduling.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Review contracts, plans, specs, QC requirements, geotechnical reports, estimates and bids.
• Coordinate job responsibilities with the superintendent.
• Communicate with Project Executive and Superintendent.
• Assist with submittals and RFIs.
• Track change orders, quantities, and additional work.
• Oversee SWPPP and safety compliance.
• Prepare and review daily/weekly reports.
• Set up project files and information packets.
• Attend pre-construction and hand-off meetings.
• Support project team and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Identify long-lead items and maintain project timelines.
• Review budgets and cost reports; flag issues.
• Closeout: punch lists, lien waivers, and final payments.

Education

Bachelor's in Engineering or Construction Management
