Job summary

Bauman Landscape and Construction is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Engineer to own projects from planning through completion. You will collaborate with field leadership and management to deliver quality work safely and efficiently.

The role emphasizes documentation, scheduling, procurement, and coordinating with clients and subcontractors. Base salary ranges from $100,000 to $150,000 with healthcare, PTO, 401(k), and other growth opportunities in Northern California.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in construction PM, project eng or related role.
• Experience with heavy civil/sitework or utilities preferred.
• Understanding of construction operations and sequencing.
• Comfortable working with field superintendents and crews.
• Strong communication, organization and problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and Office apps.
• Experience with HCSS/Procore or similar CM systems a plus.
• Thrives in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Help manage construction projects from planning through final completion and closeout.
• Develop, maintain and monitor project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate with superintendents and field teams to keep work progressing.
• Order materials, equipment, subcontractors and other resources with PM.
• Maintain communication with clients, subcontractors, vendors and internal teams.
• Review plans, specifications, project requirements and docs.
• Maintain accurate project records, reports and correspondence.
• Use HCSS, Procore, MS Office to manage project information.
• Perform daily logs/reports for projects.
