Job summary

J. Banicki Construction, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer Intern for Fall 2026 to support our heavy civil projects.

You will work under the Project Manager and collaborate with Superintendents, Estimators, and the accounting team to help keep projects on budget and on schedule. The role offers hands‑on site experience, office time, and exposure to APDM-enabled projects. You will gain practical training in coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and procurement while contributing to multiple

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or another Engineering Major.
Minimum GPA 2.75.
Good teamwork and communication skills.
Computer savvy – willing to learn new computer software.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
Available to work at least 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager and Superintendents in executing heavy civil projects on schedule and budget.
Support project coordination, reports, scheduling, and procurement of materials.
Review budgets, forecasts, and communicate with field staff.
Help develop work and safety plans for operations.
Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
