Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking an equipment operator to support heavy civil construction projects in Texas. You will operate rubber-tired, skid steer, or crawler tractors with a front-end bucket, loading materials and supporting site activities.

As part of a global group, you will work outdoors in varied weather, maintain safety standards, and collaborate with team members to meet project goals. Experience in related construction is preferred and physical stamina is essential.

Qualifications

• Outdoors exposure to changing weather conditions.
• Heavy physical activity as part of daily duties.
• Manual dexterity to reach/handle items and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate loading of dirt, rocks, and other materials.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• May oil, grease, or otherwise service the machine.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.
• Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
• Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
