Job summary

A leading construction firm in North Carolina is looking for interns for the Summer of 2026. The internship focuses on Civil Engineering and Construction Management students, providing hands-on experience in various infrastructure projects. Interns will support Project Managers and Engineers with essential tasks such as tracking time, preparing submittals, and document control. Candidates must be eager to learn and able to work in varying environmental conditions. The ideal candidate has a strong interest in construction and is pursuing relevant studies.

Qualifications

  • Students majoring in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Must be able to assist Project Managers and Engineers.
  • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Support management and field teams.
  • Track time and quantities for project accounting.
  • Assist Project Manager with documentation.
  • Assist with documentation and coordination of all purchases.
  • Provide document control by tracking plans and specs.
  • Assist with field time reports.
  • Gain experience with heavy equipment and survey technology.
  • Take-Off and Estimating exposure.
  • Follow company and site safety policies/procedures.

Skills

Currently pursuing degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Morgan Corp. is currently seeking candidates for our paid internships for the Summer of 2026.

Our internship program focuses on, but is not limited to, students majoring in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or those who have an interest in the construction industry. Our internship program provides a realistic view of what it is like to work in the construction industry through meaningful, hands‑on experiences.

Essential job functions will be to assist the Project Managers and Project Engineers with the daily job tasks performed. Some of the roles and responsibilities would include, but are not limited to:

  • Support management and field teams in the construction of various infrastructure projects.
  • Track time and quantities for project accounting.
  • Prepare and track submittals.
  • Assist the Project Manager with documentation and coordination of all purchases.
  • Provide document control by tracking plans and specifications.
  • Assist with filed time reports
  • Gain experience with heavy equipment and survey technology
  • Take-Off and Estimating exposure
  • Follows company and work site safety policies/procedures

Work is performed outside in all types of environmental conditions. This position performs strenuous physical activity for long periods under varying and adverse field conditions. This position must be able to lift, carry, stand, walk on uneven surfaces, manually manipulate, grasp, reach out above the shoulder, climb, kneel, bend, twist, and push/pull.
