Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Heavy Civil/Industrial Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to lead complex water and wastewater construction projects. You will oversee our team of engineers, contractors, and professionals, ensuring on-time delivery, safety, and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of project management in heavy civil/industrial construction, strong leadership and communication skills, and a solid understanding of regulations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in project management in heavy civil/industrial construction.
• Proven water/wastewater project experience incl. underground utilities, pump stations, site work.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Knowledge of local, state, federal regulations and safety standards.
• Proficiency in project management software and related apps.
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water/wastewater and pump station construction from initiation to completion.
• Lead engineers, contractors, and professionals across all project phases.
• Prepare and update project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate construction from design to final build per specs.
• Identify and resolve project issues; document and communicate changes.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and safety standards.
• Maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and manage complex water and wastewater projects, working with a diverse team of professionals in the construction industry. Responsibilities

1. Overseeing and managing all aspects of water and wastewater and pump station construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
2. Leading and coordinating a team of engineers, contractors, and other professionals during all phases of project development and execution.
3. Preparing, reviewing, and updating project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensuring that all project activities align with these plans.
4. Coordinating and supervising the construction process from the conceptual development stage through to final construction, ensuring that all works are carried out according to design specifications.
5. Managing and resolving any issues or problems that arise during the project, and ensuring that any changes to the project are properly documented and communicated to all relevant parties.
6. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
7. Building and maintaining relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, and ensuring that all parties are kept informed of project progress and any changes.

Qualifications

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, specifically within the heavy civil/industrial construction sector.
2. Proven experience in managing water and wastewater construction projects, including experience with underground utilities, pump stations, site work, structural concrete, - knowledge of process piping, mechanical piping, and yard piping a plus!
3. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate and oversee a team of professionals.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project issues effectively and efficiently.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
6. A strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards related to water and wastewater construction projects.
7. Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
8. A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
