Job summary

Rummel Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman to direct field personnel, enforce safety practices, and communicate with on-site activities.

You will assist the Project Superintendent and maintain clear lines of communication with supervision and project management. The ideal candidate has 2–3 years in heavy civil construction, knowledge of cut/fill operations, and a proven ability to lead teams on busy projects with travel to multiple sites.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years in construction, preferably heavy civil.
  • Knowledge of cut and fill operations and earthwork processes.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a crew on site.
  • Professional judgement and responsible conduct throughout projects.
  • Willingness to travel to various jobsites and read project plans.
  • Familiarity with dust control requirements and best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Direct field personnel and manage on-site activities.
  • Enforce safe construction practices and site safety.
  • Communicate effectively with supervision and project management.
  • Assist the Project Superintendent with construction tasks.
  • Coordinate with crews to ensure plan sets are followed.

HEAVY CIVIL CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN

Rummel Construction, Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Construction Foreman. This position is responsible for directing field personnel, administering good construction safety practices and communicating effectively with all on-site activities. Assisting the Project Superintendent with various construction activities and maintaining good communication with supervision and project management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2-3 Years' Experience in the Construction Industry, preferably heavy civil
  • Knowledge of cut and fill operations
  • Ability to work independently and as a team leader
  • Exercises professional judgement and behaviour
  • Ability and willingness to travel to jobsites
  • Cut/fill earthwork operations on residential projects
  • Reading and interpreting plan sets
  • Reading and understanding soil reports and project specifications
  • Dust Control requirements and best practices
