Job summary

Arcosa Wind Towers, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Assembler Lead for 2nd shift to assemble and align mechanical units, sub-assemblies, and completed products using hand and power tools and fixtures. You will fit, calibrate, and adjust parts to meet tolerances and spec requirements.

You will lead a small team, assign tasks, verify torque sequences, and perform quality checks to ensure customer specifications are met, with safety as a priority and occasional safety committee involvement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing or assembly.
• Knowledge of finished product specifications.

Arcosa Wind Towers is searching for a 2nd shift Heavy Assembler Lead. As a Heavy Assembler Lead, you’ll assemble mechanical units, fabricated parts/components sub-assemblies, assemblies, and complete units using hand tools, power tools, jigs, fixtures, and miscellaneous equipment. The Heavy Assembler Lead will also fit, align, calibrate, and adjust parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements, and repair units or products that have failed to meet requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Lead a team by assigning tasks
• Assist in the completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
• Verify torque sequence and values (certified)
• Perform quality checks to meet customer specifications
• Read and follow complex instructions
• Follow all safety rules and practices
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 4 years of experience
• Knowledge of all finished product specifications

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• Overtime and Overtime on Saturdays, as needed
• Schedule is subject to change
