Job summary

MaineGuide in Maine is seeking a Heating Oil Liquid Propane Delivery Driver to deliver propane to residential and commercial customers. You will operate company vehicles safely, maintain daily logs, and provide courteous service.

This role requires a valid CDL with HazMat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements, the ability to pass screenings, and a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call hours during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A/B CDL with HazMat, Tanker and Air Brake endorsements.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, and Homeland Security background check.
• Clean driving record and Bobtail license authority (NH exception).

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane safely to residential and commercial customers.
• Operate vehicle safely and courteously.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain inventory accuracy for vehicle and bulk plant.
• Work on-call and flexible schedules as required.
• Coordinate with location manager to ensure efficient deliveries.

Heating Oil Liquid Propane Delivery Driver

Job Summary

To deliver Liquid Propane to residential and commercial customers. This position requires an individual who can operate company vehicles in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. Has a “Can Do” attitude and is a team player when it comes to Customer Service, safety and fellow employees.

Job Responsibilities

1. 1. Customer relations – Service that is efficient and polite and continuously maintained at a high standard.


2. 2. Ability to move heavy objects, to pull a delivery hose varying distances and work outside in various weather/driving conditions.


3. 3. Is willing to work a flexible schedule with after hour emergency call outs when on call.


4. 4. Safe operation of vehicle which includes: cleanliness, daily pre and post trip inspections and reporting of any problems in accordance of DOT & NFPA regulations and Company policy.


5. 5. Ability to prioritize tasks and work without close supervision


6. 6. Familiarity with and adherence to company policies, safety policies and regulations.


7. 7. Accurate accounting of inventory of vehicle and bulk plant.


8. 8. Performing every duty in a safe manner.


9. 9. Participates in ongoing training and education.


10. 10. Reports any safety concerns or code violations at delivery sites to location manager.


11. 11. Works closely with manager to update customer information when needed to ensure efficient deliveries.

Job Requirements

• Valid (Class A/ B) Commercial Driver’s License with a HazMat endorsement, Tanker endorsement and Air Brake endorsement


• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical and Homeland Security Background Check. Have a good driving record


• Bobtail License authority (exception in New Hampshire)
