Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Senior HVAC Facilities Engineer for a state-of-the-art semiconductor facility in north Phoenix. You will design, install, commission, and operate HVAC systems for a high-tech factory, including cleanroom air systems and solvent exhaust abatement.

Responsibilities include ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with cleanroom and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of HVAC engineering experience (design and operations) in semiconductor/high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of HVAC/exhaust systems and their controls.
• Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings and specs.
• Familiarity with cleanroom standards and chilled water systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, commission, and operate HVAC systems for a semiconductor facility.
• Manage cleanroom air systems, exhaust systems, and solvent exhaust abatement.
• Ensure performance, energy efficiency, and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate across teams to support facility operations post-installation.

Education

Job description

Salary: $130,000-$150,000 (10-15% annual bonus yearly)

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC engineering (design and operations), preferably in semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, exhaust systems, and their controls.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with chilled water systems, cooling towers, and cleanroom standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Professional Engineering License (PE) is a plus.
• Experience in design, construction, commissioning, and start-up preferred.
