HVAC Service Technician

Position Summary: The HVAC Service Technician will perform seasonal maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, educate clients on issues or improvements, and handle demand service calls. The role also involves being on the on-call schedule.

Objectives:

1. Perform preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failure, including cleaning, monitoring, calibrating, and replacing parts; repair vents and ductwork; clean air ducts for efficiency and air quality.
2. Diagnose problems, assess repairs, explain options and costs to customers clearly.
3. Assist with repairs of systems, including controls, switches, thermostats, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, and piping.
4. Complete documentation, explain warranties, and record fees in Service Titan.
5. Install, repair, replace, or clean refrigerant lines, vents, smoke detectors, humidifiers, and grills.
6. Ensure repairs and installations meet safety and technical standards, modify as needed for proper installation and air balance.
7. Document system performance and service details accurately.
8. Participate in educational opportunities to update knowledge.
9. Promote and convert clients to Service Plus Agreements, meet sales and performance targets.
10. Maintain vehicle and stock organization.

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 3 years of HVAC experience.

• Lift at least 50 lbs.
• Wear safety gear.
• Work in noisy environments, high places, or tight spaces.
