Role Description The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. Responsibilities include diagnosing and troubleshooting HVAC system issues, performing maintenance and repairs on residential and light commercial heating and air-conditioning equipment, and completing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. The technician will install and service components such as condensers, compressors, air handlers, furnaces, thermostats, and ductwork, following safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Day-to-day tasks also involve communicating clearly with customers about findings and recommendations, documenting services performed, maintaining clean and organized work areas and company vehicles, and collaborating with team members to ensure high customer satisfaction. The technician is expected to uphold company standards of professionalism, punctuality, and integrity on every job.

Qualifications

• Strong focus on Customer Satisfaction, including clear communication, professional conduct, and respectful service at customer sites.
• HVAC Troubleshooting skills with the ability to accurately diagnose system issues and recommend effective solutions.
• Experience with Maintenance & Repair of heating and air-conditioning systems, including replacing parts and verifying safe operation.
• Capability to perform Preventive Maintenance tasks to improve system reliability, efficiency, and lifespan.
• Valid EPA certification (or ability to obtain) for safe handling and recovery of refrigerants.
• Previous experience as an HVAC service technician or installer; familiarity with residential and light commercial systems.
• Knowledge of local mechanical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for HVAC work.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and digital gauges safely and effectively.
• Reliable transportation to job sites, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in HVAC is preferred.
• Physical ability to lift equipment, work in confined spaces or at heights, and perform tasks in varying weather conditions.
• Strong time-management skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
