Role Description

The Heating Air Conditioning Service Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Atlanta, GA. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems within LA Fitness clubs to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for members and team members. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosing HVAC issues, completing repairs and part replacements, and documenting work performed in service records. The technician collaborates with club management to schedule maintenance, responds to service calls promptly, and helps optimize system performance and energy efficiency while following all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to HVAC systems.


• Experience with maintenance & repair and preventive maintenance for commercial or residential HVAC equipment.


• Knowledge of EPA regulations; EPA certification for handling refrigerants is highly preferred.


• Commitment to customer satisfaction, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal stakeholders.


• Familiarity with HVAC tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety procedures.


• Relevant technical training or certification in HVAC, mechanical systems, or a related field.


• Ability to work on-site, manage time effectively, and handle multiple service requests.


• Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environmental conditions.


• Previous experience in facilities maintenance or fitness/retail environments is a plus.
