Tata Technologies in Auburn Hills seeks an HVAC Refrigerant Loop design release engineer to lead development and release of automotive HVAC components, including compressors and A/C lines, ensuring performance targets are met.
The role requires a BS in engineering, 2+ years in HVAC design (3 preferred), and proficiency in Unigraphics NX and CATIA. DFMEA/DVP&R experience and strong teamwork are essential for success.
The HVAC Release Engineer is responsible for the development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines. The candidate will ensure the components meet performance objectives and will coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling and suppliers. Duties will include (not limited to) writing source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables. Candidate will maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up to date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell and static cell test results as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required. Need to lead virtual team to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance. Candidate will also need to support pilot and pre-production build process at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC line and compressors.
