Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary degree preferred.
• Five years' experience as executive chef or similar.
• Experience in menus for restricted diets.
• Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory guidelines.
• Able to meet budgets and control costs.
• Background check and possible drug screening per guidelines.

• Help hire and train new team members, building a passion for culinary arts.

We have a wonderful opportunity for a Director of Culinary Services who is passionate about creating delicious, nourishing meals that bring joy to our residents every day. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on leading a kitchen team, crafting menus that reflect our residents' tastes and needs, and turning every meal into a warm, welcoming dining experience, all while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and hospitality.

This is a full-time position, paying between $65-70,000 per year DOE. The schedule may include Saturdays/Sundays.

Our Directors of Culinary Services

• Create a beautiful, delicious, and well balanced range of meals for our residents.
• Help hire and train new Team Members, building a passion for the culinary arts!
• Assist in the preparation of meals
• Periodically review the menu and food service with our residents to ensure satisfaction and brainstorm new menu ideas!
• Deliver a menu and service aligned with our Transforming Age Culture of Excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed!

• High school diploma or the equivalent education, training and experience. Culinary degree preferred.
• Five years' experience as executive chef, chef in hotel, restaurant, club, or other similar employment.
• Experience in menus for restricted diets.
• Excellent oral, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge in all areas of local Health Department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
• Able to meet budgets and control costs.
• Completion of a background check. Additional prescreening requirements such as a drug test, fingerprint, TB test, and/or physical may be required per state/local guidelines.
