Job summary

Ellwood Crankshaft Group is seeking an hourly Heat Treat Operator I for the Sharon, PA facility. This non-exempt role reports to the Plant Manager and requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and experience in manufacturing.

The position emphasizes heat treatment processes, equipment handling, and continuous improvement. Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to operate heat treat equipment, monitor quality, and collaborate with a team to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Willingness to train others and adapt to continuous improvement.
• Strong math, communication, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with furnace and product setups per heat treat schedule.
• Perform labor support such as fork transfer and material handling.
• Operate overhead cranes and radio controlled cranes as required.
• Operate automated guide vehicles for material handling and fitment.
• Maintain reports and records as required.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on machines.
• Maintain housekeeping and safety rules in all areas.
• Assist in training new operators and lead safety improvements.
• Perform other routine labor as production flow requires.
