Job summary

Caterpillar Building KK in East Peoria, IL is seeking motivated individuals for the Metal Treating Specialist Trainee program. The paid training leads to a role operating heat-treat equipment for carburizing, cycle annealing, and die quenching of gears during 2nd or 3rd shifts.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic manufacturing experience; overtime possible; starting pay is $23.22 per hour with $1 night shift premium. Relocation not offered; no travel required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, with or without prior work experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work overtime when required, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and adjust heat-treat equipment for carburizing, cycle annealing, and die quenching of gears.
• Work in environments with frequent temperature changes and physical demands.
• Stand for full shift durations with frequent walking, bending, reaching.
