Job summary

Vallourec Star in Houston, TX is seeking a maintenance technician to set up and operate industrial equipment, including furnaces and heat-treating machines. You will determine quenching media and temperatures to achieve required hardness and ductility, while reading gauges and maintaining safety standards.

You will perform maintenance tasks, enter data, and adhere to policies, with shifts that include weekends and holidays. Strong English communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or better.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
• Experience with equipment maintenance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate equipment such as furnaces, quench, and heat-treating machines.
• Determine quenching media types and temperatures to meet part specs.
• Read gauges and indicators to ensure proper operation.
• Adhere to API and quality standards.
• Participate in level 1 maintenance, preventative maintenance, and 5S.
• Enter and validate data manually or via computer.
