Job summary

Vallourec - North America is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Houston, Texas facility. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems, with emphasis on motors, hydraulics, and power distribution.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repair coordination with engineers, ensuring compliance with safety and LOTO procedures, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance (including motors, controls, power supplies, power distribution, hydraulics/pneumatics, lubrication, and power transmission).
• Requires use of Smartsheet / Excel to manage preventive and corrective maintenance program.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance and machine tool repair experience.
• Coursework in mechanics, electrical, electronics, metallurgy, or related field from a high school, technical or community college.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Should be able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 75 lbs.
• Ability to understand and execute instructions well.

Responsibilities

• Perform and manage preventive maintenance for equipment as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; coordinate repairs with engineers and lab supervisors.
• Test operation after servicing to ensure acceptability.
• Perform electrical/mechanical repair and installation per codes.
• Perform plumbing repair and installation per codes.
• Install piping and tubing for air, hydraulic, and water; service hydraulic power units.
• Service and repair high-pressure components used for testing.
• Manage on-site contractors: scheduling, safety orientation, permits.
• Use hand and power tools; maintain equipment.
• Provide proper records for machine and repair files.
• Read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
• Maintain and support LOTO program: audits, training, materials.
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision.
• Follow all work instructions and company policies.
• Maintain clean/work areas.
• Other duties as assigned by Methods Engineering Manager.
