Howmet Aerospace's Heat Treat Technician role in Elroy, WI, on-site, involves loading and operating gas and electric furnaces to perform heat treatment and ensure parts meet blueprint specifications.
You will check gauges, report irregularities, test orders with approved methods, and write process sheets while collaborating with coworkers to maintain a safe, efficient production environment.
Howmet Fastening Systems is looking for a Heat Treat Technician. In Heat Treat you will load and operate furnaces, gas and electric, which perform various types of heat treatment. You will also check gauges and instruments during heat treat process and make adjustments or report irregularities to the supervisor. You will become responsible to learn how to properly inspect parts to blueprint specifications. You must know proper testing procedures for all orders being run and be able to test parts being run using approved methods. Capable of writing process sheets for orders and approve sheets for other operators. Strive to work well with co-workers as a team player, keep work area clean, and perform any other tasks as assigned. This position is on-site located in Elroy, WI.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds, normally lifting items that weigh at least 50 pounds.
Be able to bend, stoop and climb.
Be able to walk and stand on your feet for a full 12-hour shift.
Use hand tools, measuring devices, overhead cranes, hand trucks, forklifts.
