Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry in Manitowoc, WI is seeking an Engineering Intern for heat treat straightening and dimensional control. You will own a real project, work with engineers on the floor, and present measurable results to leadership at summer's end.

The role emphasizes design of straightening processes, reading scans, tying results to machining, and improving fixtures to reduce rework. Internship runs May/June–August 2027 with a day shift.

Formación

• Pursuing a degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience reading dimensional scans or inspection reports.
• Working knowledge of GD&T.
• Strong problem-solving and attention to tolerances.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement hydraulic straightening for heat-treated castings.
• Read dimensional scans and CMM data to identify movement.
• Link machining results to straightening fixtures to identify drivers.
• Improve fixtures and methods to reduce rework.
• Present results and recommendations to leadership in August.
