Jetson in San Jose, CA is seeking HVAC apprentices who will learn by installing heat pump systems and collaborating with a seasoned crew. The role encompasses removal of gas furnaces, system installation, and ongoing maintenance to develop practical expertise.

This full-time position emphasizes hands-on training, safety compliance, and customer service, with opportunities to contribute to product and process improvements using modern tools including AI.

Qualifications

• Completion of 6-12 months HVAC program or 1-2 years related experience.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification required.
• Valid unrestricted driver's license.
• Hands-on HVAC install/service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to learn in a team environment.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy equipment in various weather.
• Experience with AI tools to improve efficiency.
• Adherence to OSHA Electrical Standard and LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Install heat pump systems alongside experienced installers.
• Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning/replacing filters.
• Test HVAC systems for proper operation.
• Follow blueprints, schematics, and building codes.
• Collaborate with technicians and engineering teams.
• Provide excellent customer service and address client questions.
