Job summary

Xylem in Cheektowaga, NY, is seeking a skilled welder/fabrication technician to join our manufacturing team. You will perform welding and brazing on heat exchanger components, set up equipment, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet ASME IX standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with vocational welding training.
• 1–2 years welding fabrication experience and ability to read blueprints.
• Must pass welding test and hold ASME Certification or be able to obtain.
• Ability to operate welding equipment and follow ASME IX standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and brazing on heat exchanger products per ASME Code and Mil Spec.
• Set up welding equipment, position and clamp materials to spec.
• Read drawings and use measuring tools to verify dimensions.
• Maintain cleanliness and prepare parts and materials.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures; participate in qualification tests.
