Heat Exchanger Manufacturing Process Development Engineer

About the Role

The Heat Exchanger Manufacturing Process Development Engineer is part of the World Headquarters Carrier Central Engineering organization, working globally with all Carrier entities. The candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing state-of-the-art, cost-effective, robust manufacturing and assembly technologies for current and advanced heat exchanger designs. This role involves collaboration with divisional engineering, R&D groups, and external partners to develop, specify, and implement improved tools, equipment, and technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Benchmark, develop, validate, and implement optimal heat exchanger fabrication processes.
  • Create standard work, best practices, procedures, and equipment specifications in collaboration with Business Units, suppliers, and R&D groups.
  • Design, specify, qualify, and implement new fabrication and manufacturing processes, including machine design and fabrication.
  • Demonstrate new equipment and process capabilities using statistical process control and qualification methods.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or mechanical production or manufacturing, including 3+ years in operations.
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; no visa sponsorship available.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
  • Experience with automation and high-volume manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to design, prototype, and qualify new coil shop processes.
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with 3D CAD software.

Carrier offers a pay range of $90,263 - $157,959 annually and is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
