Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an assembly team member in Hibbing, MN to assemble MESABI heat exchangers and related components. The role involves using power tools, building crates, installing grommets, and supporting training.

The position rotates between day and afternoon shifts, with overtime possible based on production needs. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED with 1 year of experience, strong mechanical ability, and the ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1 year of work experience.
• Strong mechanical ability and experience using power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assemble heat exchangers and related components.
• Build crates using hand and power tools.
• Install grommets with grommet guns and tubes.
• Assemble fans, belts, motors and exchangers; handle oil coolers.
• Observe, guide and assist with training as needed.
• Support other production areas as required by supervisor.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE.
• Occasionally travel domestically or internationally as project requires.
